Republicans one seat away from control of House in US midterm elections

After almost a week of counting, Republicans look set to retake the house with a narrow margin Republicans were on the brink of taking control of the US House of Representatives after a flurry of races were called for them on Monday. The party had expected an overwhelming victory in the lower chamber of Congress due to high inflation and dissatisfaction with the Biden administration.
