Master bluegrass picker Tony Rice dies aged 69

Fans including Steve Martin, Ricky Skaggs and Jason Isbell have paid tribute to Grammy-winning Rice, who collaborated with Jerry Garcia and Dolly Parton Tony Rice, the master bluegrass picker, has died at the age of 69. Rice, famous for the quick, fluid sounds conjured from his Martin D-28 guitar, died on Friday at his home in Reidsville, North Carolina, according to International Bluegrass Music Association spokesperson Casey Campbell.
