US investigating Southern Baptist Convention over clergy sexual abuse

Denomination’s executive committee says it has been subpoenaed after consultant’s report shined light on crisis Leaders of the Southern Baptist Convention said on Friday that several of the denomination’s major entities were under investigation by the USDepartment of Justice in the wake of multiple problems related to clergy sexual abuse.
